Francis and Tesse Uzarski Lupinski began their business as the Memorial Funeral Home on State Street, New Haven in 1934. Two years later they moved to 821 State Street where they still operate today. In 1948 Tesse Lupinski took over the business and was the first woman director in the State of Connecticut to own and operate a funeral home. Today, Lupinski Funeral Home is operated by their daughter Lucille S. Lupinski and their granddaughter Angeline Iovanne. |
